The Proxes Sport is Toyo's Max Performance Summer tire developed for the drivers of sports cars, luxury vehicles and high-performance sedans who want a technology-focused tire that delivers superior dry and wet traction and handling. The Proxes Sport is designed to excel in warm dry and wet conditions, so like all Max Performance Summer tires, it is not intended to be serviced, stored nor driven in near- and below-freezing temperatures, through snow or on ice.

A high-grip, silica tread compound is designed for greater flexibility and adhesion to the road surface and is molded into the Proxes Sport's asymmetric, four-groove pattern. The rounded rib design helps create more even pressure distribution under load for improved braking and handling, in addition to more even wear, and Toyo's Dynamic Taper Design reduces block edge deformation to provide better contact with the road and increase block stiffness. Wet traction is improved by the updated compound's increased contact with the road, and deep circumferential grooves combined with open shoulders help evacuate water from the footprint to resist hydroplaning.

Internal construction of the Proxes Sport features a rayon casing with two-ply sidewall construction for enhanced handling. Two wide, steel belts support the tread and are reinforced by a nylon cap ply for high-speed stability and improved durability.

Note: Tires exposed to temperatures of 20 degrees F (-7 degrees C) or lower must be permitted to gradually return to temperatures of at least 40 degrees F (5 degrees C) for at least 24 hours before they are flexed in any manner, such as by adjusting inflation pressures, mounting them on wheels or using them to support, roll or drive a vehicle.

Flexing of the specialized rubber compounds used in Max Performance Summer tires during cold-weather use can result in irreversible compound cracking. Tires exhibiting cold compound cracking must be replaced.
